Crazy Day

Teaching Recognition of Rhymes and Word Families
Ron Brown

This song is available on Intelli-tunes' "Beginning Reading Skills"

One day I was walking right down the street.
Looking all around, just shuffling my feet
I saw the strangest things that I ever did see.
And this is what I saw!

There was a frog on a log
Holding hands with a dog.
Cats and rats wearing polka-dot hats
A hen in a pen counting up to ten
A pig with a wig dancing a jig

I saw a fish make a wish sitting on a dish.
Clocks and rocks with purple socks
A bee in a tree wearing glasses to see
A man with a fan in a big trash can

So if you’re walking down the street
Looking all around while you’re shuffling your feet
You just might see the strangest things
When it’s a crazy day!
