The Golden Rule (Do Unto Others)
Song Lyrics and Sound Clip
This song is available Jim Rule's Share This World.
When I was little and I went to school
I learned a saying called THE GOLDEN RULE.
It's easy to remember. It isn't hard at all
And everyone should know it, if you're big or if you're small.
Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you, unto you.
Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
Just think about the way that you'd like to be treated
And treat the folks you meet that way.
Now don't you think the world could be a better place
If everyone would say -
And if you're still not sure what the saying is saying
It simply means to stop and think.
Like if you're hogging all the water, then maybe you just ought to
stand aside and let some other people drink.
It's THE GOLDEN RULE. Practice it in school
Where you work and where you play
It sure could mean a lot if we share the love we've got
Then everyone could stand up tall and say -
