     Singer-songwriter arranger-producer Fran Avni has been creating original songs for children for over two decades. Fran's songs are part of numerous language arts curricula including ongoing CBC's Sesame Street repertoire. She most recently composed songs promoting early literacy for the National Film Board of Canada's 1998 CD-ROM project “HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY UMBRELLA?”.

     The I'm All Ears: Sing into Reading CD and activity book give you fun kids' music that is appropriate for preschoolers and K-2. These songs teach children to listen to qualities of spoken language that will later help them tackle written language. They are based on phonemic awareness and phonological awareness research and promote early literacy.
