Most of the material is Mexican or American folk-based, and includes cumbia, huapango, son jarocho, vals, and Appalachian folk. The sound is upbeat and fun, inviting participation from listeners of all ages.
     The twelve selections in this album consist of seven songs in Spanish, two in English, and three in both Spanish and English. An excellent resource for teaching Spanish vocabulary, pronunciation, grammatical concepts (imperfect, preterite...) and the rhythm of the language. The traditional songs also contribute to the teaching of cultural concepts.
