This song is appropriate for Constitution Day, September 17.
In the Constitution there’s no power of a throne.
It makes government one that the people make and own...
One branch is Executive, and that’s the President.
He hears from his Cabinet as their advice is lent...
Chorus:
In the Constitution, in the Constitution, in the Constitution
In the branch, Judicial, the Supreme Court is upheld.
The nine judges pass the laws, and therein justice dwells....
Twenty-seven* amendments are how many you will find.
Only what’s best for the nation is in their design...
Chorus:
In the Constitution, in the Constitution, in the Constitution
* Of course, the number of amendments is subject to change!
