Teaching tips from Jim Nailon:
This song simply combines counting by 10s in Spanish to the music of the traditional
Mexican Hat dance. Students enjoy the challenge of going faster, which motivates them
to learn to count by tens. I make my students learn to sing it before I let them dance;
otherwise they have too much fun dancing and don't learn their 10s. The traditional
dance also adds some Mexican culture to the classroom. If they can dance as they sing
up to tempo, they should have a nice memory tool for their 10s.
(Tune: Mexican Hat Dance)
Vamos a cantar.

Vamos a contar.
