Discuss the ways the kids are helping in the pictures. Ask, “How else can you help your friends and family? How can you help in your community, in the world?” At the end of the song, hold up the symbol for helping to represent “all happy helpers.”
Five happy helpers here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
One sees a job and hops right to it
Four helpers left- if there’s a job
who will do it?
Four happy helpers here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
One sees a job and hops right to it
Three helpers left- if there’s a job
who will do it?
Three happy helpers…
Two helpers left- if there’s a job
who will do it?
Two happy helpers…
One helper left- if there’s a job who
will do it?
One happy helper…
No helpers left- if there’s a job who
will do it?
I’m a happy helper here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
I see a job and I hop right to it
I call one more- together we’ll do it!
Two happy helpers here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
We see a job and we hop right to it
We call one more- together we’ll do
it!
Three happy helpers…
Four happy helpers…
Five happy helpers here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
We see a job and we hop right to it
We call all helpers- together we’ll do it!
All happy helpers here to help out
Smiling and a-talking and a movin about
We see a job- there’s work to do!
Many happy helpers
