That's How I Can Make Equity Song

Explain that equity is when everyone gets what they need to achieve equality. Use the stars (from the lesson materials) that are not already on the children’s signs in the picture to give the children the stars they need to have an equal amount of stars. Ask, “How else can we share what we have with others?”

Two for you and one for me
That’s how I can make equity
You need more and I do not
So less for me and more for you is equity

I have more food than others may get
Toys and books- opportunities
I have more than others in need
So less for me and more for you is equity
Sing it with me!

Two for you and one for me
That’s how I can make equity
You need more and I do not
So less for me and more for you is equity
