Bird Migration

Children's Song Lyrics and Sound Clip
David Burba

LYRICS:
Instrumental . . .

Chorus
Some birds need to take a long vacation.
They flock to some place warm
when it gets cold.
Another home to find some yummy bird food.
This is called migration, now you know.

______________________________

MOVEMENTS:
Have children walk around the room
twirling their ribbon sticks or flapping their arms to the beat of the song while singing.

Encourage children to pretend they are
birds migrating.

The hummingbirds spend their summer
in mountains high.
But in the fall the flowers they all fade.
So they find their way down to the valley below.
Where warm winds make their nectar once again.

OOOOOOO. . .
OOOOOOO. . .
Fly down. Fly down.
This is called migration, now you know.

Instrumental . . .
