Goal Areas:
      • Greetings
      • Eye contact
      • Following 2-step instructions
Activities & Adaptations:
      • For students who use verbal language, encourage him or her to use appropriate words or phrases along with gestures. For example saying “hi” while waving and “Yeah!” while giving a high five.
Generalization:
      • During greetings in natural settings, cue the student to “Look at your neighbor, and… (wave hi, shake hands, give a high five)”.
Sample Educational Objective:
      • In a peer group setting, the student will demonstrate appropriate greetings and social gestures by making eye contact with a peer and 1) waving, 2) shaking hands and 3) giving a high 5 (insert criteria here).
