Dusting
Song For Teaching Children How to Help Around the House
Kathleen R. Wiley

This song is available on "Helping at Home."

When I dust it is a must to shake the throw rugs out
I just take them to the door and then
I shake and shake some more, there is no doubt,
That in dusting it is true, it’s light work for me and you,
But I just know
That if I will do it right we will be happy day and night,
So watch me go.
First I move all the knick-knacks then
I get my dusting rag and some spray,
Then I rinse or dust the knick-knacks,
Wiping tables with my rag so everyday,
My furniture is shiny, there’s no dust there to remind me
Of the chore.
So I’ll do this once a week so that if ever you just peek
You’ll know the score.
