There are some kinds of organisms
that once lived on our earth,
and now they’re gone.
We call these species extinct
because they have completely
disapeared from our world.

Fossils can provide examples
of extinct reptiles, plants and animals.
By studying some fossils
on the earth one could say,
extinct animals resemble some alive today.
