"O" and "Y" "U" and "E". If "o" ("or") comes right before a word that starts with an "o" or "ho-", it must be changed to a "u", not only when writing but when speaking! For example, "uno u otro" means "one or another." The same is true for "y" ("and"), which changes to an "e" before a word that starts with either "y","i", "hy-" or "hi-" (which as you know are pronounced the same!). For example, "Ella es guapa e inteligente" means "She is good-looking and intelligent." Write either "y" or "e" in the blanks.
