Loose Tooth Blues
Song about Losing Teeth for Young Children
Wendy Rollin

  Listen to this song.
Listen to the instrumental version of this song.

This song is available on Wendy Rollin's It's Elementary!

A junior-Elvis lament for any loose-toothed kid

Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble. Loose tooth.

Will you watch my mouth While I open wide
Take a little look right here inside
What to you see? Tell the truth
Uh huh! A real loose tooth
Wiggles so much it hardly chews
Oh yeah! I got the loose tooth blues!

Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble. Loose tooth!
Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble. Loose tooth!
Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble. Loose tooth!
Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble. Loose tooth!
Wiggles so much it hardly chews
Oh yeah! It got the loose tooth blues!

Hey, Mr. Tooth Fairy You’re gonna pay
My tooth’s been wiggling night and day
Better save up I’m telling you
Got another tooth that’s wiggling too
Wiggles so much it hardly chews
Oh yeah! I got the loose tooth blues!

Wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble etc.

During the two verses of the song, children enjoy playing their rock & roll air guitars.
Or, older children can act out words in the verse, pointing to their mouths,
And somebody can be the Tooth Fairy, passing out play money.

Prior to playing the song, you could ask;
“Did anyone here ever have a loose tooth?”
After the children respond, ask and act out –
“Did the loose tooth go –
wiggle wobble, wiggle wobble
(rock vigorously side to side in rhythm,
with back of hands up at shoulder height)
loose tooth!
(reach arms straight up 2 times –
simultaneously kicking out right leg)
once on”loose,”
again on “tooth!”)

Repeat this pattern 4x.
Then rock vigorously as above on –
wiggles so much it hardly chews
Then reach and kick as above on –
Oh yeah, I’ve got the loose tooth blues.
