Teaching tips from Jim Nailon:
Spanish pronunciation is pretty easy once you learn the five vowel sounds. By mixing up their order with different permutations, the song becomes a fun way to learn the vowels. The short version is for beginning students and the longer version is a good phonological refresher for more advanced students.
A, E, I, O, U, U, U
Vocales are easy. It's true, U, U.
U, O, E, A, I, I, I
They're easy as can be, I, I.
I, E, O, U, A, A, A
So easy we're laughing. Ha, A, A.
A, U, O, I, E, E, E
That's all we have to say, E, E.
E, U, A, I, O, O, O
'Cause now (clap, clap)
We have to go, O, O.
Vocales, vocales, vocales, vocales
Son faciles. Es la verdad. (Repitan)
A es todavía A
Como cama y llama y banana.
E es todavía E
Como “El bebé bebe la leche.”
I es todavía I.
No es difícil. ¡Sí, sí, sí!
O es todavía O
Como cuando un pollo va loco.
U es todavía U
Como cuando el relój va cucú.
