Feathered Friends

Karen Rupprecht & Pam Minor

This song is available on Karen Rupprecht and Pam Minor's  Months of Music Calendar & Album Set.

Let’s fill the feeder with lots of seed
Birds in the winter are our friends in need
Raisins and grapes can be a special treat
It makes them happy and go tweet tweet tweet

It’s bitter cold and the trees are bare
The birds have looked there’s no food anywhere
They fluff up their feathers to hold in the heat
They are hungry there’s nothing to eat

You go to the window the floor gives a squeak
They fly away quickly when you take a peek
But be very patient and stand very still
And they come back you know they will

The blue jays chase the others away
They throw lots of seed all around it’s okay
The snowbirds prefer to eat on the ground
The chickadees wait till others flee from a sound
