To all the kids around the world who like to run and play
It’s time for grown-ups to listen up to what we have to say
We may not be big and powerful but we have a big concern
We must protect our water it’s a lesson we have learned.
CHORUS
Every little drop of water every little drop of rain
All the water on this planet will come around again
Every ocean and every puddle every lake and every stream
Every little drop of water everyone should keep it clean.
To farmers who sweat to grow the food we buy in our local stores
Miners who dig deep in the ground to find all the precious ores
Loggers who cut trees in the woods so there’s paper for you and me
We must protect our water it’s important can’t you see.
CHORUS
To workers in the factories where many things are made
Brokers of all the stocks and bonds who buy and sell and trade
People in the offices in towers that touch the sky
We must protect our water there are so many reasons why.
CHORUS
To neighbors here in our hometown the ones we see each day
Tribes and clans and roving bands who live so far away
Every single family we all must do our part
We must protect our water there’s no better time to start.
