I got a whole lotta nerves
They tell me what to do
I can pick up a pencil
Even tie my own shoe
Talkin’ ‘bout the nervous system
Seems it always knows
How to keep my body workin’
From my head to my toes
The two parts of the system
Spinal cord and the brain
Always workin’ together
Feelin’ pleasure and pain
Behind the forehead
Just above your face
The frontal lobe of the brain gives us traits
Of the human race
I’m a n-n-nervous man
Parietal lobes above and back
On the left and the right
You’d lose control without ‘em
It’d be a sad, funny sight
Temporal lobes help me hear
Another lobe helps me see
It’s called the occipital
Lets me know where I be
Between parietal and temporal
Is the sulcus of riel
Also called the insula
Lets me know how to feel
Put those lobes together
It’s the biggest part of my brain
Gives me cognitive functions
Helps me taste my chow mein
