Mr Tall is as tall as the tallest tree
Mr Short is as short as he can be
Mr Wide is wide as my neighbours house
Mr Slim eats as much as a tiny mouse
And they all live together in the same old place
With a roof that comes off for Mr Tall’s big face
And big barn doors that open both ways
So Mr Wide won’t get stuck when he comes home today
But they’re not very happy in their big old house
Oh no they’re not very happy in their big old house
You see Mr Tall wants to be Mr Short
And Mr Short he wants to be Mr Tall
And Mr Wide he wants to be Mr Slim
Mr Slim he wants to be just like him
Oh no they’re not very happy in their big old house
Oh no they’re not very happy in their big old house
So they all changed places in the middle of the day
Mr Tall became so short he had little to say
Mr Short so wide, Mr Wide so slim
Mr Slim so wide he was just like him
But they’re not very happy in their big old house
Oh no they’re not very happy in their big old house
(Spoken)
Mr Tall said ‘I don’t like being short’
And Mr Short said, ‘ Oh I don’t like being tall’
And Mr Wide said ‘I don’t like being slim, I get too hungry’
Mr Slim said doesn’t like being just like him
So they all changed places in the middle of the day
Oh yes they all changed places in the middle of the day
Now Mr Tall is as tall as the tallest tree
Mr Short is as short as he can be
Mr Wide is wide as my neighbours house
Mr slim eats as much as a tiny mouse
And so they’re all very happy in their big old house
Oh yes they’re all very happy in their big old house
Oh yes they’re all very happy in their big old house
Oh yes they’re all very happy in their big old house
Lesson: Great lesson on accepting who we are. It may seem like a good idea to look like someone else, but as they say ‘Be yourself. Everyone else is taken’. There’s no such thing as a perfect body!
Action: Kids can role play being tall, short, wide & slim!
