Qq
Greg Whitfield

 Listen to this song.

This song is available on Greg Whitfield's AlphaSongs.

Q is a letter that almost never ventures out without its best friend U. As a matter of fact, the two are engaged to be married.
Plan a ceremony for the happy couple, complete with ring bearer, flower girl, minister (or justice of the peace), and music (Elvis Presley's "I Can't Help Falling in Love With U" works nicely). The bride and groom can wear die cuts of their letter, and the guests can wear word cards containing the letters Qu. Recommended guests include Quack, Quick, Quiet (you'll hardly know she's there), Quail, Question, Quilt, and of course the Queen. For that added touch of class, offer cake decorated with the letters Q and U. Make the ceremony as schmaltzy as possible, and I guarantee the participants will not only remember the sound of Q, but they will never forget its constant companion.

There's a funny little letter known as Q
It sounds like like K-W
It starts off words like quick and quack
And queen and quilt and quarterback
A funny little letter known as Q

Now Q's best friend is letter U
It almost always follows Q
The two of them go hand in hand
In quiet, quarter, and quicksand
Best friends, the letters Q and U

Now quietly, let's say the sound of Q
/q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q / /q/
Now once again and say it quickly, too
/q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q / /q/

Now Q is quite important it is true
A duck can't quack without a Q
And tell me, have you ever seen
A princess who became a queen
Without a Q she'd be an een it's true

Now quietly, let's say the sound of Q
/q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q / /q/
Now once again and say it quickly, too
/q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q/ /q / /q/
