So many things we can find as we play
Things that are thrown away,
We will use them again and again,
Day after day after day.

Bottles, boxes, buttons, beads,
Plastic containers, many of these,
Pipe cleaners, paper bags, pie tins too,
Paper plates and glue.

We can make such beautiful things
For everyone to see
Jingle sticks, shakers and drums to bang,
Cymbals that go clang.

Egg cartons, cardboard rolls, colored string,
Scraps of cloth, any old thing,
Sponges, straws, socks and shells,
Little jingle bells.

We can make so many things
For everyone to see
A rainbow of colors, a quilt for the wall,
A city with buildings so tall.

Puppets from spoons, sticks or socks,
A bottle, a brush, or even a box,
Pictures and sculptures, mobiles going round
All from things that we found.
