CHORUS: New Colors!
Do you know what I can do?
It’s like magic!
But it science and it’s true.
You can do it, mixing
Yellow, Red and Blue.
CHORUS MOVEMENTS:
Have the children sit in a circle,
legs criss-crossed, and clap to the beat
while the singing words.
Pretend to be mixing paint in a can with hand.
If I want to paint a plum,
what color do I choose?
PURPLE, PURPLE, PURPLE
that’s what I would use.
But I don’t have any Purple paint!
What can I use instead?
I can turn paint Purple by mixing Blue and Red!
VERSE MOVEMENTS:
Pretend to paint something,
hands out with palms up in questioning pose.
Pump hands up overhead 3 times
with each color word,
then return to clapping to beat.
Shake head and pointer finger in “no no” motion.
Palms up in questioning pose.
Pretend to be mixing paint in a can with hand.
