This song teaches beginning sounds and the blending of onsets and rimes.
Do some hip-hop moves during the chorus, then follow movements left to right. In the open version (included with this CD) your class can try other words. The class can be split up as one half says the beginning sound (onset) and the other half responds with the rime. Start with simple, two-phoneme words, then build up to three and four-phoneme words.
