The test for one is easy, cuz it works for them all
The test for two, an even one will do
If it ends with 5 or 0, the test for five is true
Or if it ends in 0, a 10 will see it through
But if it’s odd don’t dismiss it as prime
Cuz there’s a number you should test all the time

Chorus:
These are some rules of divisibility
If the number ends in 0, 10 or 5 will work you see
And if it’s even, a two will work for you and me
But always remember to check for 3
Always remember to check for 3

The sum of the digits, and then the sum again
If it’s 3, 6, or 9, the test for 3 will work, my friend
Or just look and see if the sum is a multiple of 3
So always remember to check…Promise me!

(Chorus)

Bridge:
And there are others to test, if you know the tricks
If it works for 2 and 3 it’s divisible by 6
And if you know the rule for 3, it will be equally fine
To do the same kind of test.. for 9

But what about 4? Divide by 2 twice
Or the last two digits are a multiple of 4, very nice
8 is by 2 thrice, or digits, the last three
And then there’s 7… it’s a special case you see!

(RAP)
So you take the last digit then you double it
Take it away from the rest but don’t trouble it
Then you repeat the steps again until you have success
And if it’s 0 or a 7 you won’t stress….but….
Don’t forget, don’t forget ever to check for 3
Cuz breakin’ a promise or forgetting’s a monstrosity
Add the digits, add again ’til the number’s less ‘swoll’
3,6, or 9, the quotient’s whole

(Chorus)

Last Chorus:
So remember the rules of divisibility (echo a rap)
If the number ends in 0, 10 or 5 will work you see (echo a rap)
And if it’s even, a two will work for you and me (echo a rap)
But always remember to check for 3 (always remember to check for 3, y’all)
These are the rules O - OF divisibility (echo a rap)
If the number ends in 0, 10 or 5 will work you see (echo a rap)
And if it’s even, a two will work for you and me (echo a rap)
But always remember to check for 3 (always remember to check for 3, y’all)
Always remember to check for 3 (always remember, to check for 3…)
Always remember to check for 3 (light solo… fade out…)
