Song for Teaching Children about Pollution
Kathleen Wiley

This song is available on Kathleen Wiley's Science Songs

Pollution makes no contribution to the way we live.
The earth and sky and water just deserve more than we give.
But you can make the difference and do more than we did.
Yes, you can stop pollution.

The buses, planes and cars and trains just dirty up our skies.
Their smoke goes in the atmosphere--it isn't very wise.
It coats our lungs and plugs our skin and reddens up our eyes.
We must make restitution.

If we all do our own small part and throw away our trash
And keep our streams and rivers clean, it translates into cash
That we can use to hide refuse, recycling like a flash.
Bad habits cause pollution.

So, if we want to save our planet, we must do our part.
Clean up our homes and streets and gardens--take this all to heart.
Because you'll find that you won't mind if you just make a start.
'Cause, pollution's no solution. Pollution's no solution.
