Social Studies:
Objective: Students will identify location of Australia on world map.

Activity: Play song and have students listen to words. What animal is in the song? Where is the Kangaroo from? Show world map. Show location of where you live. Show location of Australia. Have students chant, hey, hey, hey, hey, echo sing Kooky Kangaroo and the boing part. As students sing their parts with the recording pick students to come to the world map and point to Australia. For more fun, pick a few students at a time to hop around like a kangaroo.

Music:
Objective: Students will sing so-mi pattern.
Objective: Students will chant hey, hey, hey, hey with correct rhythm.

Activity: Echo sing so-mi pattern. Echo sing kooky kangaroo. Students echo hey, hey, hey, hey in rhythm. Sing parts with music recording. Pick students that are participating to hop around like a kangaroo.
