Safety with a Strange Dog
John Buchanan

 Listen to this song.

This song is available on John Buchanan's Safety Songs.

If you see a strange dog
That you’ve not seen before,
Do you know what you should do?
Stand very still; Do not look at the dog.
The dog may be looking at you.

Wait for the dog to move out of your sight
Then quietly walk away.
Do not run or yell, for the dog may attack.
Please listen to all that I say.

Go and tell an adult
About the strange dog.
And where you saw the dog go.
Its size and its color would be helpful, as well.

Thank you, dear friend, for listening to me.
I hope that you do understand.
A strange dog can be a great danger to you.
Do not touch the dog with your hand.

If you see a strange dog
That you’ve not seen before,
Do you know what you should do?
Keep singing this song
And please share with your friends:
Being safe is important to you.

The Safety CD is John's most recent production providing safety lyrics to familiar tunes. John's safety songs give parents and children the opportunity to listen together and discuss related ideas, activities, crafts, songs, etc. that may prevent accidents and save lives.

A special THANK YOU to Morgan Berardi, who added the child's vocals to this CD.
