Roy was a pig, he was only a toy
He used to belong to a red-haired boy
Until one day when the boy bought a boat
And put in the pig as it started to float
A gust of wind blew the vessel away.
And so began Roy's voyage on the bay
Voyage on the bay, voyage on the bay
Roy sailed on for many a day
Voyage on the bay. voyage on the bay
The wind blew Roy far. far away!
Roy was alone and a little bit scared
When he heard a voice calling.
"Ahoy out there!
We're the Oyster, the Turtle and Bird
We'll join you, okay? Just say the word!"
Roy said. "Yes! You're invited to stay!
Welcome to my voyage on the bay!"
Voyage on the bay. voyage on the bay
We'll celebrate for many a day!
Voyage on the bay, voyage on the bay
The wind will blow us far away!
Roy and his friends. they were having a ball
Dolphins and porpoises came to call
They met two playmates, the Whale and the jay
Laughing and singing and sailing all day
Till the wind blew them back to the red-haired boy
Roy the Pig was overjoyed!
His new friends promised to visit in May
And so concludes Roy's voyage on the Bay!
Voyage on the bay, voyage on the bay
Roy came home after many a day
Voyage on the bay, voyage on the bay
The boy's so glad Roy's home to stay!
"What would I do if I were real?'
"You'd oink and grunt and snort and squeal!
You'd roll in dirt and mud and such
— Believe me. you're not missing much!"
