Here is a nice fingerplay that is perfect when you have just a few minutes.

Five eggs     (Hold up five fingers.)
And five eggs     (Hold up five more fingers.)
And that makes ten.

Sitting on top is the mother hen. Pretend to be sitting on eggs.
Cackle, cackle, cackle, cackle,
What do I see?
Ten fluffy chickens as yellow as can be.
