Songs for Celebrating Shabbat

Shabbat Songs

Shabbat is the Jewish Sabbath which begins at sundown each Friday night and ends at sundown each Saturday night. This is a day of rest where we pray, spend time with our families and enjoy special foods together. We say (or sing) blessings over candles, wine (grape juice) and a braided egg bread called challah.
