Zombie In My Head uses zombies as a metaphor, offering strategies for children coping with anxiety, intrusive thoughts and negative self-talk.
The lyrics help children (and adults!) learn to label their negative self-talk, grow an awareness of when it’s happening, and incorporate positive self-talk.
The song originated from research on real-life zombie ants, whose brains are taken over by an intrusive parasitic fungus -- much like the intrusive thoughts that can overtake a human's mind.
Recommended for elementary and early middle school ages, the fun and upbeat song offers memorable phrases and catchy melodies which will enhance any child's emotional skills toolbox.
